The explosion-proof jib crane consists of a fixed vertical pillar, slewing assembly, jib beam and special explosion-proof electric hoist as core components. The base of the pillar is firmly anchored to a concrete foundation. The jib arm supports flexible slewing movement, with two optional driving modes: manual rotation and motorized electric rotation. An explosion-proof hoist travels along the track mounted on the jib beam to complete all vertical lifting tasks. The BZB 5T/8M model is a classic heavy-duty variant widely deployed for petroleum industrial handling work.
Explosion-Proof Performance
All motors and electrical assemblies of this jib crane adopt full explosion-proof design, while the travelling mechanism is spark-free and complies with ExdII CT4 explosion-proof standard. This qualification allows the crane to operate safely in hazardous zones filled with mixed flammable gas, vapor and air that carry explosion risks.
Lifting & Slewing Working Principle
The explosion-proof hoist undertakes vertical lifting and horizontal trolley travelling on the jib beam. The slewing gearbox drives rollers to realize full rotation of the jib arm, and an integrated explosion-proof electric control cabinet is mounted directly on the hoist unit.
This lifting equipment is perfectly matched for short-distance, high-frequency and intensive material handling workflows. It delivers outstanding advantages including high working efficiency, low power consumption, compact floor occupation, simple operation and convenient routine maintenance.
Control System
The whole crane is operated via an explosion-proof wired pendant controller equipped with 2 to 6 function buttons. The standard 6-button handle supports full functions: fast lifting, fast lowering, slow lifting, slow lowering, jib slewing and horizontal trolley traversal.
Standard Safety Operating Specifications
1. It is forbidden to trigger fast and slow speed buttons simultaneously; do not activate horizontal trolley and slewing buttons at the same time during running.
2. Keep the area underneath the jib arm clear of all personnel while the crane is in operation.
3. Strictly prohibit diagonal pulling and side dragging of suspended loads.
4. Overload lifting is completely forbidden to avoid equipment failure and safety accidents.
